INFO
Let’s face it, insurance doesn’t honor the soul. Most people don’t know that using your insurance to pay for therapy limits confidentiality, puts you at risk for increased insurance premiums, requires utilizing an insurance-driven treatment plan and likely places you with someone who is less experienced or specialized.
We want more for you — a custom, client-driven treatment plan. We are committed to offering high quality, custom counseling services to our clients. We accept private pay for services offered, which allows us the flexibility to meet your individual needs. Please check each therapist’s page for detailed pricing on services.

EMDR
Do you feel that your past continues to invade your present-day experiences? Do you wish to be able to have satisfying relationships that don’t end up in repeated bouts of fighting and disconnection because your emotions got the best of you?
Like a foreign object in the body can cause infection, emotional trauma can fester inside the body and soul causing all kinds of painful psychological and physical symptoms.
In my practice, I utilize a powerful tool for addressing and resolving deep emotional wounds: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR therapy has been extensively researched and proved highly effective for the treatment of trauma and many other issues including anxiety, depression and addictions. It can significantly shorten the length of treatment, particularly when dealing with specific traumatic memories from the past. Most people begin to feel relief quickly in the specific area that is addressed.
Instead of the past re-playing itself as a big screen TV right in front of you, EMDR helps shift these memories to a small black and white tube in the corner of the room. The memory may still be there, but its debilitating effect on your present day life will not. Find out more information on EMDR here.

Clinical Supervision
As a new graduate, we are all eager to jump into the counseling field and practice all the skills we have learned in school. No one can stress how helpful it is to have an experienced and supportive guide to navigate the process of full licensure.
As a supervisor, I hope to grow you into the best therapist you can be—not a carbon copy of ourselves. I believe each therapist has a unique offering to the world and it is a supervisor’s job to help you refine and grow that offering, while also maintaining impeccable ethical standards for the sake of your current and future clients.

EATING DISORDERS
We all look for ways to manage overwhelming life circumstances, feelings or relationships and you may have turned to disordered eating. My work with you is not about blaming anyone or making you feel guilty. I recognize that you may not have known how to cope and/or didn't have the tools to cope differently. I regularly include these elements in treatment of eating disorders:
- Learning and practicing a variety of coping skills
- Improving communication in relationships
- Understanding how the eating disorder developed
There is a lot of support for family involvement as part of successfully helping someone out of an eating disorder. When you are ready, we will look at how to integrate family involvement into your therapeutic process.

SPIRITUALITY
Harm makes us feel small, isolated, and disconnected. Healing brings us back to ourselves and at the same time beyond ourselves. We see that we are connected to something greater. We open our eyes to the interconnectedness of all things.
Integrating spirituality into the counseling process can create this kind of healing movement. We invite you to bring your faith, doubts, emotions and the wisdom of your body into our work together.
Your whole self is waiting on the other side.

ATTACHMENT
Our understanding of who we are in relationship to the world and other people develops out of the attachment we have to our parent(s) or primary caregiver(s) as children. Major stressors or trauma as well as significant support and connection from other people can dramatically shift this understanding no matter the quality of attachment. Parents are often doing the best they can and that can still not be enough sometimes.
If you have ever thought, “I do not deserve love. I will never be chosen. I am too much. I am too broken. I always mess things up.”
When we hear and see these negative core beliefs play out, they often look like chronic relationship issues, isolation, co-dependency or enmeshment. These are often signs that there may have been childhood needs that were not met and as a result they are replaying in current relationships and keeping you stuck.
The challenge is that, if this is you, your relationships may not last long enough to allow you to replace those negative beliefs, and in turn, actually end up reinforcing the negative beliefs. That is where we come in.
Some people focus on changing behavior, but the inside-out work of changing those beliefs often requires a deeper work in relationship. Attachment Therapy is a form of therapy that views the development of the therapeutic relationship as a representation of your patterns of relating, going as far back as childhood. As someone who is trained in identifying these patterns and addressing them thoughtfully, we work with you to begin new patterns with us first. With positive, reparative experiences reinforcing these new patterns, you start to feel empowered to apply them to your relationships outside of therapy.
Because the nature of this therapy is relationship and attachment-based, the course of treatment often requires at least a year commitment and may necessitate meeting more than once a week.

Alternative Healing
Sometimes we need extra, non-traditional help getting our mental health to start to shift in the right direction. I can coach you through one alternative approach: biohacking.
Biohacking describes the process of making incremental changes in lifestyle that can improve health and well-being at a cellular level.
We will look into biohacking your environment by reducing your exposure to man-made technology and increasing exposure to nature’s natural technology.
We live in a tech world — swimming in a sea of cell phones, TV’s, smart devices, artificial light and indoor living. While man-made tech produces many benefits and makes life easier, it also has a tremendous impact on our bodies at a cellular level.
I can help you understand how man-made technology affects your brain and body. Together we can develop a plan to reduce these negative effects and support the repair to your body at that cellular level.
